Hey there, I am here, after being sick for the last 2 days.. I am actualli down wif fever on thursday.. And it reached 39 degrees.. great.. aniwae.. I even pia 2 tuitions dat day.. I am having this bad cough, dat I dun even noe where I got it.. damn,.. tried the pi pa gao.. but to no avail.. Aniwae.. nothing much happened on national day except dat I went to play soccer and got darker.. sianz.. now ppl keep asking how come i look sooo dark.. haha..

 

Aniwae.. wednesday.. yar.. Went to play badminton.. wif shengmin again.. who else. den played doubles, but juz could not maintain the tempo.. duno why oso.. haha.. den lost 2 matches to a pair of pros.. realli good.. haha.. After dat, i was supposed to go and catch a preview movie wif my sis, at shaw, jurong east.. Went there earli and watched these 2 chinese "medium" trying to jio some gods and den show the onlookers some majic prowess they got such that some lucky ppl can get to see 4 digits which they can go and buy 4d.. but well, i stayed for as long as an hour.. but everytime, they did a lot of stunts, and one even claimed himself to be a professor.. not dat I dun believe.. There is nothing for me to believe.. I duno if anione realli saw anything.. but.. cos my sis came eventualli, I went away..though nothing was seen, i was still surprised at the real purpose of them paying for the rentals of the stall, and staging these so called free performances.. My real aim was to see wat they were gg to do after they have shown the real numbers.. but unfortunately the show "mob sister" had to start.. The show actualli was juz okie.. din realli interest me, cos of the lack of a powerful story line.. the story seemed short to me.. hmm.. well.. but.. can be improved lar..

 

I muz say this.. I tink the story i juz watched.. though crap as it seems, never failed to entertain.. Very Funny, Duke of deer 2, Lu ding Ji.. by Zhou Xing Chi, aka Stephen Chou.. Nv fail to make u laff.. his movies are always the best cure for sadness, and ppl out of love.. but not for my bad cough definitely.. i am having difficulty breathing..

 

Okie.. Aniwae.. yesterday.. was friday.. and it was the welcome tea.. Well, Quite good response though.. but nevertheless.. it was great fun and food.. miting up wif new frens etc.. haha. kk.. but after dat.. I saw 2 incidents on my way home, dat spoilt my day.. I nv knew Man could behave like this.. 1st of all, I saw this 2 bunch of Chinese (zhong guo ren).. waiting for cabs on both sides of the road.. in front of kent ridge terminal.. And I was opposite waiting for bus 188.. there were 5 ppl each on each side of the road.. Then suddenly on the opposite side of the road, there was 1 person less.. after 5 minutes of waiting to no avail, I saw one cab coming towards the ppl on my side, but the window was juz winded down briefly and the cab made a U-turn to the opposite end.. So.. one of the guys went further down to hail a cab.. but suddenly, to my astonishment, something strange happened.. The guy in the front seat walked down the cab, and suddenly talked into his hp, and den motioned to his frens, and den dashed all the way down the road! Oh no.. Wat is he doing? haha... My conclusion is dat cos the number of ppl cant squeeze in the car, hence he got down the car and refused to pay up and ran off.. The cab thus reversed to pick up 2 other singaporeans.. Wat next? Another cab came and suddenly, the rest from my side ran over to the opposite side, and in the end, none got up the cab and everyone continued to wait.. Well.. I duno wat happened to them later cos my bus came, and I boarded the bus to see another sad case..

On the bus, Chinese refusing to move in or juz cant be bothered, even when it was clearly that the front was overly packed.. until someone had to shout to move in.. I wanted to say in chinese " Dear Chinese comrades, pls kindly move in".. haha.. but i refrained from doing so.. cos later on, i found dat singaporeans were worse.. there were 2 cha bors bitching abt something, and refuse to move in, and beside them, stood this ah tiong, who onli likes to stand by the door, for some reason which I dun understand, and the back half of the bus was practically empty.. this time no one made noise, cos dat guy alighted liao, and i had a bad cough to tok.. haha.. so.. finally after 2 stops, the 2 cha bors alighted and the whole chunk of ppl moved to the back...How come we cant be considerate enough at times? hmm.. this is bad..

Den, I went to gif tuition on saturday.. and again I was bang seh by 1 student.. Aniwae, I signed another 5 years for safra, and went to buy a basketball immediately.. Den went for tuition again.. sianz.. wat a life.. Actualli asked Luke to come out, den later postponed it.. aiya..dun mention..

Okie.. den todae, went to help out in triathlon, tried to go there early, den realli as kelvin predicted, everything went on late.. and we were there waiting for nearly 2 hours, before being despatched to the points.. Waste of time.. den after dat, helped cher how to bring the kayaks back to kallang, and i went alone to carnival at marina.. Actualli it was very worth it.. The coupon, i went to play 4 rides, including bumper car, all were similar to the UK fun fair, and I found 2 of them very interesting! too bad, i jio soo many ppl, and they all din wan to come.. sianz.. in the end, i gave 4 other coupons to the kids there.. haha.. at least some one thanked mi.. My stupid sis wasted her 2 tickets and told me to sell the ppl there.. siao.. Den later in the evening, went to watch the beautiful display of fireworks before I did something which I tot was quite stupid but clever.. There were loads of ppl waiting for the bus..And initially I had wanted to wait for the bus, and then take to chinatown to take 190 home, but I found out that the ratio for 400a to 400 was 10 to 1.. so i decided to walk to mrt.. Den in the end, i walked and walked all the way to chinatown.. haha.. half an hour.. aniwae.. not dat far oso lar.. haha.. so.. yar lar, still took 190 home.. and now down wif a bad bad cough.. tml duno how to gif tuition.. sianz..

tata.. write again.. hopefully tml.. cos dad is starting to restrict the use of PC again, due to high electricity bills.. Sianz..

This morning.. we went to limbang to play soccer.. and basketball.. but soccer more.. mi, bear, keong,. chernleng, and qilin.. we played wif ourselves 1st, den sculy came 4 guys, whom later i knew to be relatives.. and they were quite pro.. but den.. i tink thru sheer luck, 4 against 4, we managed to win.. haha.. and i tink 4-2.. and all scored by bear.. haha.. kudos.. though i was the better shooter in the morning match, when mi, qilin and chernleng, managed to oust them 4-2.. hmm.. similar sia.. symmetry.. and i was quite tired by den.. and my left leg.. duno wat happen.. juz very pain.. sianz.. and duno why after the game, all the plastic bags flew away liao.. den no bags.. after cycling a while, den oso duno why, i decided to check to see if the pump's pin was there.. and it was actualli missing! I hurried back, and luckily managed to locate it near the pull up bar.. haha. lucky.. Den I went to tuition Sebastian and Alicia after dat.. Afterwhich, I saw Jia Man at Bukit panjang Popular, when I decided to go buy my student's Ten yr series.. but den.. hmm.. I tink it is fate leh.. dat those 4 guys suddenly appeared to play soccer wif us.. The indians and malays who came to play previously din appear, and juz nice, timmy they all din come too.. though they were the 1st to propose soccer.. hmm.. it is arranged in a way.. so our morning will not go wasted.. hmm..

Wah liew.. tomorrow school starts already.. how can.. I muz work hard.. well .. hopefully so.. haha.. Jia you bah, everyone..

Actualli Yesterday which is saturday, is a fun-filled day.. Why? Cos I went to NUS early in the morning for the National Day Observation Parade.. I was the "parade commander" marching Alvin, Lis King, and Wendy Ow into the parade square where they raised the flag for the 100th year.. Felt soo proud.. haha.. but well...Den saw the rag day.. But went off to play tennis wif kelvin in my half U!! But well, the rag was fine, but Biz din win as expected, though all the displays were quite well done.. Aniwae, SDE and Science won quite a number of shields and Shears and Eusoff Halls were the big winners..

But of cos.. After dat, went for lunch at the new University hall, and even shook hands wif Prof Shi Choon Fong.. hop[e nv spell wrongly.. haha..Den we were given ties, and ladies were given scarfs as a token of appreciation.. So after a sumptuous lunch, I went on to Tampines Safra to bowl.. Though din bowl exeptionally well, i averaged around 131 per game, after 6 games.. still okie lar.. haha.. hmm.. but discovered a new way of throwing balls.. maybe can try it next time.. but.. yar.. after dat.. went to eat WU ZHAO PAI! haha.. long wait.. we started eating near 9pm.. but den it was a hearty dinner.. We had chilli crabs, prawn paste chicken wings, kangkong, seafood soup, lala.. and cost us each $20.. yar.. haven intro.. yesterday, mi, bear, keong, shimin, and lay went to play bowling and eat.. why did we go all the way to tampines? cos their bowling, 10 games for $28 until 6pm on weekends.. quite cheap.. and their pool, though nv try.. but wkend oso $5 per hr nia.. haha.. dun nid safra card somemore.. liew!!

Okie.. so.. after dat.. went home, and it was a very tiring day.. manz.. haha..

I woke up early this morning.. and went to play basketball and soccer.. I paired up wif keong and beat bear and shengmin 5-1 in soccer.. i tink it is due to teamwork lar.. haha.. aniwae.. we continued wif basketball and won 7-4 despite lagging behind for quite a while.. due to pains in the left leg..i suspect it is rheumatism..but of cos, i tink it isbecos i overworked my legs liao.. stood for the past 2 days in schools and badminton, and bowling.. shagged man.. haha..Aniwae.. at this point of time, i am enjoying EDO sushi i bought yesterday.. well yummy.. haha.. i bought around 10 kinds of sushi for $3.60 nia, cos everyday in NTUC Lot 1, after 9pm, they would haf everything for half price if u buy ard $6 or more.. quite hua suan.. haha.. though may not be the freshest sushi.. but.. make do wif it lar..

I still love the baby octopus sushi the best.. mmmm.. Okie.. after soccer and basketball, i went home for a bath, before gg for K lunch at lot 1.. Sang my hearts out.. and of cos had a hearty meal there.. Lemon chicken set meal.. and total for about $8.. aniwae.. I won half of the lunch during ABC game wif bear.. so.. i paid half nia.. and I sang a lot lor.. felt unfair for them, esp keong and shengmin.. who were there juz to "enjoy" listening to my singing.. tks frens.. so.. after dat.. i rushed back to NUS for the National Day Observation Parade tomorrow.. I find it meaningful to be able to participate in this event cos it is NUS's 100th anniversary.. so.. I went for the rehearsal.. and I was the parade commander.. haha.. well.. some zo bo guy, standing in support of Alvin, King, and wendy.. Aniwae, i was late cos of ktv.. and paiseh lar.. haha.. And tml is the rag day oso, and after the whole thing, we would be having lunch session wif all the guests.. especially Shih choon fong, head of NUS.. haha.. so.. after the rehearsal, we went separate ways and me, vincent, and wendy, went to IMM, giant.. Bought 2 red snappers there, a honey roasted chicken, some minced meat.. and some wheat made maggi mee.. haha.. quite nice taste lar.. After grocery shopping, we went out to eat outside world of sports.. eat wat? of cos the honey roasted chicken.. Actualli I enjoyed sharing and tearing the chicken.. Wendy insists on eating the chcken butt.. haha.. and it was quite nice.. Mmmm.. after dat, mi and vincent took 188 home.. and todae, is of cos the 1st day of the 7th month, when our good brothers from down there are let out to visit us.. Aniwae.. I am not a believer of our good brothers, since I haf not seen anione from their brotherhood b4.. I mean.. maybe when one day I see one lar.. maybe one day.. I always believe this to be part of psychological barrier acting on a person.. Nevertheless, I payed my respect every yr wif my parents.. and tonite too.. So I tink this may be why they dun wan to disturb mi.. Well tks brothers..Hopefully they got internet down there, and can receive this msg.. haha.. joking lar

So.. dats how busy i was for the day.. and cos my tuition was postponed.. sianz.. tml will also be an enjoyable day.. cos I will be doing some great stuff like bowling, miting frens and of cos eating good food.. yay.. let's leave dat for tml.. Now is time for some reflection time, folks..

Lately I read an article written by a veteren in the education line..There has been many cases of murder, school violence, and other strange things happening in our surroundings.. especially in the beahviour of students nowadays that make me feel exasperated but even more disappointed.. The veteran stated that this was due to the lack of moral education in our kids.. not only them, but our adults too.. When u dun haf good role models, how are you to expect the same from the kids in modern society.. So wat is wrong? We haf our own syllabus of Civics and Moral Education in school curriculum, but are they having any effect? Long ago, during my secondary school days, I haf been questioning abt the purpose of the inclusion of this subject.. Why? It is not because it is useful, instead it is totally useless.. Sori to say dat, but I can tell u dat it is the truth.. Like any other books, it onli teaches facts, and it is soo easy to get an A or B, and even if u get a C, who cares? Will u be branded as someone who is lack of morals and haf teachers calling for ur parents to emphasize how important is moral education? OF cos not! People who score an A for this subject can be a big bully in school.. In any other words, children do not do wat is being preached in books, rather, they will listen more to adults who can communicate wif them better.. I am trying hard to mingle well wif kids and find out wat they are actualli tinking so as to more effectively educate my children in future..

Aniwae, why did I oso say it is useless, is because I have been studying chinese teachings all these years, and I seriously consider chinese teachings, or rather more of confucius and mencius teachings are more meaningful as they realli teach people wat and how they should behave in everyday life.. and they consist of more interesting stories.. I dun even remember wat my CME book contained, but I remember many of these chinese teachings.. The sad thing is.. Many of my students dun even noe who are confucius, and mencius and some other great teachers of the past.. But of cos, how would they noe, since they dun even like chinese animore.. after wat our dear govt has done, to suppress this language for sooo long, and trying to take more active actions now to promote this already dying language..Chinese language is like having terminal illness now, long term Aids or spreading cancer.. such dat even normal learning of chinese has become more of a chore, a burden, rather den an interest for their cultural roots, for wat they are..

Dats the sad part of this language.. No matter how much I do, I cant change this fact, and it is gg to become worse.. Looking it at another angle, I may haf more tuition assignments in future for chinese tuition.. And I was especially glad to see a student who got onli 14 in mid yr to score 40 in the recent test.. at least he still have some interests after some toking to him... many do not haf.. and it is a tough situation.. teachers are hard to be, chinese teachers are even harder to become.. but one good thing is dat.. i find dat chinese teachers are still most well liked by students.. hmm..

Wah, todae nearly forgot to post a blog here.. I said I wanted to discuss something yesterday rite.. but den, i decided to gif it a pass and tok abt it tml, cos I have something more exciting to share wif you, and it is the Taiwanese Buffet at this.. erm.. Quality Hotel.. near balestier..The dinner is juz $9.80 nett.. You have porridge, and porridge and porridge.. No lar.. of cos not! You can choose from a variety of food, like the salted eggs, ikan bilis, pickled lettuce for side dishes, the mains, you have chicken porridge, braised peanuts, tau pok, vegetables, fish cake, beef stew, mutton stew, cocktail sausages, and many others.. And you can choose from a variety of fruits, and make ur own ice kachang, though it is advised against..cos the ice is not very fine.. But there is Ice ceam which is yummy and also orange juice, which caught bear by surprise..

And Shimin has to keep complaining dat I haf brought her the wrong way, and in the end we were faster den the others who left 10 minutes earlier, and had to take cab, cos they thought they were lost! So u can see it is a difficult place to find, yet it is worth the effort for the money spent.. better den u go to some food courts and get some not nice food there.. haha..Den juz now, we went to play pool and manage to juz lose one game i tink.. haha.. the 1st.. and won the rest.. yay.. haha.. lucky..

Tink nid to sign off liao, cos tml morn need to go to Bukit View Secondary to do relief teaching.. wah, 1st time! haha

Okie, actualli I realised dat the dates are not accurate cos I always write after 12, and wat I am writing is history.. Well, who doesnt write about history.. haha. You write abt something, and the next moment, it is history..Aniwae, Toking abt todae, I went to play street soccer wif Shaofeng, Yaozong, gOOse, Shaowei, Gabriel, Cong Rong, Teck Wee, Jason, Bear, yk, chernleng, and Shengmin.. Hmm.. very fun.. long time nv met some of them, and had a great time, though it was very hot.. Scored hmm.. 2 goals.. Was soo tired and hot lor.. The sun was good.. And I ran until there was a blister under my left foot.. And I had to walk like a lame person.. haha.. LAME..
